Program Overview
The Environmental Engineering program prepares students to address complex environmental challenges by integrating scientific principles with engineering solutions that reduce environmental impact and support long-term sustainability.
The curriculum offers a strong interdisciplinary foundation that combines environmental science and engineering, systems engineering, water and wastewater engineering, and environmental planning and management. Through laboratory work, design projects, and field experience, students develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and hands-on expertise—equipping them to respond effectively to evolving environmental, industrial, and societal needs.
What Does an Environmental Engineer Do?
Environmental engineers design and manage systems that protect the environment and support public health. They work on pollution control, water and waste management, and sustainable resource use. Graduates contribute across sectors such as environmental consulting, water and wastewater treatment, renewable energy, manufacturing, governmental agencies, and sustainability-focused industries.
Potential Career Opportunities
Graduates of the Environmental Engineering program are prepared for diverse career pathways across consulting, industry, public institutions, and international development organizations.
